AURA is a tech platform that makes emergency response systems cheaper and easier to use. Their newest connected smart emergency response device gives users quick access to elite private armed and medical responders, no matter where they are or what device they are using.
In 2017, AURA was started because private emergency and security response services in South Africa needed to be more affordable and available. So, they put together the biggest response network in South Africa, with over 2500 security and medical staff. South Africans from all walks of life can now use their connected devices to get security and medical response services right away.
They can add their smart and scalable technologies to your current customer site through API integration, WhatsApp, custom applications, and a wide range of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, among other things. As a value-added service, you can now offer instant emergency help to your employees and customers, either for free or for a fee.
Their team is made up of young, driven professionals with a lot of experience in the technology and security fields.
Additionally, AURA gives businesses the tools they need to keep their employees and customers safe while also growing their businesses. On the other hand, security and healthcare services can reach the customers of these big companies, which can help them reach more customers.
How it Works
AURA is a platform that puts people in need in touch with the closest private security and medical response unit after the person has been checked out thoroughly. When you have an emergency, all you have to do is press your AURA-powered panic button, and the closest response vehicle will be sent to your location right away.
Businesses that want to give their employees and customers access to emergency response services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week should set up a product demo right.
In South Africa, AURA is sold by well-known businesses like banks, credit unions, and ride-hailing apps.
In case of an emergency, you should use an AURA-enabled service provider to send out a panic alert. On the AURA system, you will automatically be linked up with the car that is closest to you. While they are on their way to your location, the AURA control center will call you to find out how serious your emergency is. Tracking the emergency vehicle’s location and status in real-time gives both clarity and peace of mind.
AURA is a large network made up of over 250 of the best private security and medical response companies in South Africa. If you call for help in an emergency, the closest service will come to help you.
AURA is easier, cheaper, and more convenient than ever for the average person to get in touch with emergency services. AURA is also a portable alternative to traditional emergency response systems that can be used at any time and from anywhere. A nationwide network of more than 250 of the best private security and medical response providers makes it possible to get help quickly in an emergency only when you use the app in a real way.
On top of that, they follow the most recent rules set by iOS, Android, and Huawei by getting the user’s explicit permission first but this spot is important so that they can get to the user’s position quickly and easily.
All security requests are included in your monthly membership price or agreement with your chosen AURA-powered service provider, so you don’t have to pay extra each time you need a response.

Investors & Funding Rounds
Havaic
Havaic, a VC firm in Cape Town, has put R6 million into Aura.
Ian Lessem, who is the CEO of the VC, said that the investment was made with an institutional financial partner, but he wouldn’t say who it was.
The VC had already given the young company R6 million, so this new investment adds to that.
With the help of Havaic, they were able to use their first-to-market platform in the rest of Africa and make sure Aura’s success on the ground would last.
