OLITT – the free website builder
It looks like it’s an era for no-code apps and platform. OLITT, no-code website and online store builder has launched in Kenya.
A platform focusing on the needs of Micro and Small enterprises, Blue Collar professionals (fundis) and non-technical business owners. With OLITT, the Small Businesses can launch business websites and online shops to showcase goods and services, sell and get paid online via mobile money and cards.
At the time of launch OLITT was available in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
OLITT makes it easy for any business in Africa to create a web presence, sell and receive payments online. It takes 6 minute on average to create a standard website on OLITT, making it one of the easiest ways of advertising a business online today.
Speaking to OLITT co-founder, David Murimi, Tech&Butter.com gathered the following:
Why OLITT and not WIX?
Unlike Wix and other traditional Website builders, OLITT is specific to the needs of local businesses starting from ease of use to supported integrations. Some of the popular integrations on OLITT include:
Local Payment Channels including Mpesa, Airtel Money, MTN Mobile Money and other Mobile Money Services supported by Flutterwave.
OLITT also supports Cards to allow businesses to get paid via cards,
Paypal to allow businesses to receive payments from Paypal users,
MailChimp for subscriptions and contact forms,
Tawk.to for Livechat Integration on the Websites,
Twitter for embedding twitter feed on the Websites,
Google Maps for embedding Location information on the Websites and many more.
By the way, we have better pricing option and more value for money than WIX, Weebly, Squarespace and Zyro.

How is the traction so far?
Positive, over 8k websites have been launched on OLITT this far.
What are your top objectives in the next 6 months?
We seek to enable at least 1 million small businesses to get online, sell online by creating their own websites and online shops without writing a single line of code or hiring developers. We do not mind them using the free plan, it’s sufficient for many micro enterprises or anyone trying out an idea.
Secondly, we are launching an AI content generator in a week to automate the job of content creation that might be hectic to business owners.
Thirdly, we are adding more partners to the platform, especially to enhance the functionality of the online shops. Specifically, integrations with Whatsapp and Instagram shops, more payment options and we will explore delivery options as well.
Do you offer in person guidance or customer support?
We provide step by step guidance to users who may face challenge while launching their websites or online store. Our support personnel will even assist you with signing up with partners such as Flutterwave, MailChimp and Paypal. We are always on Livechat, Phone and Email. We are working to have the best customer-support by any platform.
